Hmmm, I think I'll take that stretchy blanket, hang it on that flimsy hook on the ceiling, slide down it to pretend it's a steel fire pole.Of course, he will land hard on the basement floor and make his mom and dad take him to the ER at 10 o'clock at night.

Been there, done that! Trips to the ER seemed commonplace at one time! When Jess was 4 she and her partner in crime decided to ride the garage door...one would hang on the handle while the other hit the button...all fun and games UNTIL it jumped the track- the glass in the door broke on the ride up and fell from above as she was taking her joy ride! She was dressed in a bathing suit and barefoot- I was getting ready to take them to the pool. She silently came and stood by me as I was packing the beach bag- I looked at her and saw speckles of blood all over her shoulders where glass shards had fallen! I ran to the garage and saw huge daggers of glass barely hanging from above, falling one by one.
We didn't go to the pool.
Hope J. is ok!
Just a preview of things to come...
Oh good Lord! I hope he is ok! My brothers were awesome at ER trips at the worst possible time...a three wheeler into the ditch with no helmet, playing golf with each other's heads as the ball, using electical cords as lasos, slip in slide through the kitchen with baby oil, swallowing quarters for fun, you name it, they did it. I was legendary at falling off my bike or tripping in "holes" in the ground.
Ha! So true. Still, very cute.
Yikes, is this what I have to look forward to soon? Why is it that boys will come up with the craziest ideas. Mine is already a daredevil at three.
Hope Boo is okay. And I hope your heart is beating normally again, cuz I know what these things do to a parent's insides.
And this is why I'm glad I have a girly girl rather than the tomboy I was at that age. Hope J. is okay???
